I never watch the anime that's on TV, I just download shows that I want to watch and then if I really like it I'll buy the DVD set.

Death Note is awesome. I think that anyone who like complex plots and people trying to kill each other, will love Death Note (although it has a lot more to it than that). It's absolutely huge in the anime fandom, almost everyone has seen it or at least knows of it. Kinda like Bleach in that way only it's not as long and it appeals to more people.

Yeah, around thirty or something. Most anime have about 25-50 episodes, though there are exceptions (like Bleach, Sailor Moon, Naruto, Pokemon, One Piece etc).

Wow I thought animes were huge series.

So did i origionally, but you even get ones that are as short as 10 episodes (for example: Devil May Cry) since there is only so much some stories can do.

where as something like One Piece, which has 400 episodes... its just deters new people from getting into it, since its near impossible to catch up.

Fancy you mention zelda, i just started playing the ocarina of time on my pc today and i have the anime but it looks weird so i havent watched it yet.

So far, im up to date with the Bleach Anime and Manga, and the Naruto Shippuden Anime and Manga. They are both up to really crucial ownage stages that i cant wait to read (i mean the manga - both of the animes are stuck on stupid fillers).

DN Angel is pretty good, I'm watching it at the moment. It's shoujo-action, but the main character is a guy, which is a nice change

My Hime is really good as well, despite the plot holes.

Ouran High Host Club is one of my favourite anime as well. The anime stopped at 26 episodes and the manga kept going, so I'm buying and reading each manga volume as they come out.

Everything Studio Ghibli makes is very good.

You're more into action type anime though aye? Most of those are romantic type (dare I say) girly anime. Except My Hime, where all the girls are fighters and are meant to battle each other to the death.
