Hey guys,

As you all know, the Minecraft server is back up and running!

But this time, we thought we would do something a little different.

Mojang have currently been releasing snapshots for the beta version of version 1.2, so we have decided to load up the server with these features.

As there are many new features with this update, such as the brand new jungle biome, the server map had to be reset for this to be produced (which is awesome, because spawn happened to be right next to the jungle biome!)

For you to check this out, you will need to download the latest snapshot here:
http://assets.minecraft.net/12w07b/minecraft.jar

Then go to
C:\\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin

And replace the minecraft.jar file

Then you will be ready to join our server!

I admit, the new map did just happen to be extremely awesome. Except I know I'll wind up way too lazy to do my giant treehouse.

We're now running the latest release, 12w08a (I think) on the server, make sure you update your client with the latest .jar to play.

How do we do that? i've force updated but can't join the server

assets.minecraft.net/12w08a/minecraft.jar

just copy that into your address bar and it will download the latest .jar. Then, in your .minecraft folder (the one in appdata), replace the old minecraft.jar with the one you just downloaded.

Not sure why, but I don't get a .jar file when going to those links.
