How is AvP? I was going to get it, but it got fairly average reviews, and the whole violence thing just looked like a gimmick. Is it worth it?

IMO, it is certainly worth it. The violence adds to the feel of those old movies. It's great fun to play, and when you suddenly switch to the aliens after being a human, it's a fantastic role reversal.

one of my brother's friend didn't manage to get any kills as Predator on the PS3, I think Multiplayer is good, But if your looking for a Campaign Challenge, You could probably give it a try

Interesting, I'm not sure if I want to fork out the money Razz there's probably better places to spend $50 on Razz

I played SR2 on my mate's 360, didn't really like it that much, it was kind of too lame and unfunny to be good. I prefer GTA, because it actually seems like a proper, well constructed game for gamers, not a grab for cash.

Earthworm Jimbo

Getting Known
I played the PC demo of it....the Predator is waay too overpowered. I loved the movies, but if the demo was an indication of how unbalanced the classes are in the full game, I decided it was a crap and didn't buy it.

Millennium Bug
From what I've read of the reviews, the main reason that this game has mediocre reviews is because the gameplay is supposedly very glitchy and doesn't flow enough if you get what i mean, it was staying stuff like when you control the alien, the control and movement of the alien wasn't smooth enough and quite glitchy.

What's the opinion of the people here who have actually played the game, do you agree with this, or do you think that the game deserved better reviews?

I played the demo, and yeah Jimbo is right. Once the predator gets a shoulder cannon and the right place to camp it's game over.

That being said, it is a really pretty/brutal game if your comp can handle it. As it stands I'm not too inclined to buy it as I don't have the money hahah.

As far as Alien gameplay goes, it's not as bad as the reviews would have you believe. If you played the original PC game, it's basically the same. It takes some getting used to (esp. with the manual shift), but once you can wrap your head around crawling on walls/ceilings it isn't so bad.

Alien gameplay does take getting used to, but I found it to be the funnest one to play. Sometimes there are annoying glitches, like with the manual transition (who uses that anyway?) but hiding in the shadows and stalking your prey was incredible fun. I loved making elaborate traps for the humans.
